1st LTSI Interclub Invitational Taekwon-Do Championships

us competition success.
The recent LTSI Inter Club Invitational at St Albans proved that we can look forward to a bright future, the competition was attended by only eight GTS students partly due to the fact that Mr Nicholas Gardner and Mr Adam Gardner where away competing in the World Championships in Australia, so Mr Alan Lloyd jumped in at the deep end to arrange the transport etc and coaching on the day all on his shoulders and they all managed a remarkable job.

GTS students walked away with a medal tally of
1  Gold , 3  Silver and 4 Bronzes a truly excellent performance as apart from the four Green Belts in attendance, Reegan Mathews, Nathan Whiteman, Mark Peachey and Ben Baddeley the rest were participating in what would be only their first or second competition, the experience will be invaluable in the future so well done to all who made the trip.

'The Pattern results exceeded our expectations, we must be doing something correct for once as we where genuinely surprised and pleased by some of our students performances, not just by their sparring for a change, so very well done '
Nick Gardner

Out of the Eleven Clubs attending one would be awarded an Overall Trophy to the club with the most points , we did not anticipate to be anywhere near the running for this award with only eight students attending and to then find out we had been placed Third out of Nine Clubs was a fantastic achievement

'As the GTS coach on the day I would like to congratulate the students and I know the students would agree that continued practice inside and out of the Dojang pays dividends. GTS and I would also like to express our gratitude to Mr Chris Snow for the invitation and for making me and the students so welcome and a mention to the splendid overall organization of the event and a thank you to all who contributed to its success'
Alan Lloyd

At the end of this event the GTS contingent had won 8 (Eight) Individual Medals and were placed 3rd Overall, so well done to the eight competitors, you did yourselves, your instructors and your club proud.
